Has anyone had the problem of all wheels on engine and tender vanishing as soon as the unit moves ? Tim's engine and tender work fine on Open Rails but not on OR MG . The settings in the options are the same for both Sims . This is something new for me !

I've had the same problem - and just as the wheels vanish, the train stops instantly. I wonder if OR MG has trouble understanding the 19th century braking system!

Hi Carlo ! As suggested above the problem was in the " eng " file . I made some changes to the braking section because the original eng file had many empty values . The engine had no brakes in it's original condition . Not to worry ! There's nothing wrong with MG version because she runs like a champ now . . . and she still has no brakes as designed .
The engine is on this website - - - done by Tim Muir !
Thanx for the concern !

Hey Rod! Can you send me a copy of your B&O188 eng file?
Glad to hear she runs like a champ for you now!

If the locomotive has no brakes fitted, have you tried configuring it with the manual braking option?
See this example model / activity for a setup.

Hello Peter !
I will certainly give that a try ! I use " C to NC " frequently for my boiler and steam machinery specs but I've never looked at the different braking options .
Its something I've overlooked in my use of the site .
Thank You for the heads up !

It has no brakes because the prototype's had no brakes. (The tender did have a handbrake.) The Engineer would use the reverse lever and throttle to slow and stop the engine.
This engine represents early railroading before there were even steam jam's on locomotives.

Hi Andre ! I realize that but I'm trying to convince the Sim that it was OK at the time of our " Little Puffer " . - - - No air ,steam or vacuum brakes or related sounds just the reverse resistance . It's fun to run and gets interesting for coal and water refills . Patience and slow speed sure do come to mind .
