Crew: Conductor Edmisten, Engineer Ray (to Chama), & Swing brakeman Tabeling
Consist: RPO 119, baggage cars 163 & 164, coaches 312 & 327, & parlor car Alamosa (3 extra cars are for the Santa Fe Branch: RPO 62 & coaches 306 & 284).
Soon, the train rolls down the valley.

After 12 minutes unloading mail & express (& leaving the Santa Fe Branch cars in Antonito), the train departs Antonito 8:52 AM with 6 cars.
The train rolls over Furgonson's Trestle...
... follows the ridge as it gains elevation...
... & passes the Lava Tank.
After a bit, the train passes the Big Horn Section House...
... rolls through Big Horn as it rounds the curve passes the peak of the same name.

The train rolls over Dalton Crossing (a spur existed at one time to load lumber at this location)...
... rolls over Wolf Creek on Lobato Trestle...
... rolls through the narrows...
... rolls over the Chama River...
... enters the Chama Yard...
... & pulls up to the depot at Chama at 11:20 AM.
