Do you have a test vehicle with a sample cab configuration, how this "should" work when implemented? It should be really easy to add to the code, just the biggest issue is (to me at least) to set up a test case.

Well, it's not finished. But now I wonder how it could be done so that the screen could be placed on a polygon, in my case the screen is tilted in X and in Y. Quite a challenge...

Just do it like if it was a digital control, or an American distributed power control. As I see, those are already available. If you can put the American DPI there, even in a wrong aspect ratio, we are good to go, I think. X and Y rotation is no problem, everything is rotated with matrices at this stage.

Actually I may try to find a locomotive with working 3D DPI, and modify that one for my testing purposes…

Edit: As I see, these existing controls create new geometry to place their texture onto, but in fact it would be even better, if the generated screen texture just replaced an existing placeholder texture.

What I once had in mind: traction would also be possible :D would be nice

This traction display doesn't seem to be inside any of the ETCS documents I found. Is this some kind of national "plugin"?

Hello!

One question: is it possible to make all this work in 3d cabs? It took me a lot to get it to work in my 2d cab, but I would like to be able to put it in a 3d cab as well.

Thanks!

Guys, is there a 3D cab available for download somewhere with distributed power interface? I would need such a cab for developing-testing the etcs screen. I searched for one for hours, but no success yet. Probably it is available at the most trivial place, but unfortunately I didn't find that place yet. :) Any 3D cabview would be good where a distinct rectangular texture covers a distinct area, not grouped by other textures on a common sheet.

Or @Vapor3D, you might be able create one for me? Ideally you needed to create an own subobject consisting of a single rectangle only as the display screen, textured by a substitute static texture, residing in a distinct ace file by its own. This texture would be replaced at runtime by the dynamically generated screen. The own subobject with an own matrix is needed for being able to back-transform the mouse clicks position from 3D to 2D.

Sorry, I thought that too, but I found only a 2D cab from him. I need a direct link or a filename on a site. All these searches are eating up my time that I wanted to spend writing code... (Today I spent considerably more time for searching than I wanted to, and I'm a bit frustrated now.)

Sorry too.
The cab for C44-9, I've seen, might be 2d, though it was so nice-made, that looked as 3d.
I understand (about time). Hope, You'll get, what is needed anyway.

Peter, you may ask akioyamamura for a 3D cab with distributed power display. I think he didn't publish it, but he could be so kind to provide you a private download link.
