Hello.
Since I started version X1.3.1-149+
I observe too fast acceleration, driving single diesel locomotive
(at first position of controller, the acceleration continues till rather high speed)
At ver. X1.3.1-133 acceleration is more (IMHO) prototypical.
P.S.
Thank, that in X1.3.1-162 diesels, at last, cAn pull consists, but accel's still a bit unrealistically easy.
too hurry acceleration

That would depend on what power and tractive effort you have in the eng file?

eh... earlyer, I noted in OpenRailsLog.txt something about absent parameter, which's meaning was taken then, from standard diesel tables
Do You talking about this?
And, before crashing, OR told something about floating point (ver X1.3.1-149 ...152)
Speed at HUD indicated as "NAN" and train vibrated very signifiant.

First-unrealistic (fast accel, when single/acceptable-with train of 14 carriages)
Second will be more pretty...
at rather same conditions, speed not exceeded 15kmh at 1-st position when single

AdhesionFactor = (user set) 185
You need to set this back to 100 if you want realism.
You have not mentioned the settings in the eng file yet.
Can you post the eng file here?

1. Oh, yes: year ago, I rose it, because that time, Diesels pulled very weak: adhesion constantly pulsed. Already forgot.
Thanks.
2. Real power derived from given HP quite correct, so I modified yet only one experimental engine, for riding under OR,
not this.
3. Shure, here you are:

ok,
With adhesion at 100%
power 2506Kw
MTE 288Kn
CTE 167Kn
Should get realism.
From the limited information I can find.

2750kW by alternator
288kN looks like thrue
170kN by passport
Thanks, will test...
