Hi everyone, in response to Vince, I will arrange to fix the errors related to the sounds, so as to be able to later test the stability in activity, I will keep you updated .. in any case, I thank Carlo for having linked me to the Monogame version that exceeds 4gb of memory, with the hope that the team has in anticipation the abatement of this limit even starting from future versions. Having said that, I will resolve what is listed in the log, and I will give you the result

Not speaking for the development team here, but my understanding is that the monogame version will be the way forward and the 4gb memory limit will go away.

I think so too, a new graphic engine, more in conformity with the simulator, and moreover, it would also allow the implementation of more realism ..

Hi everyone, I had the chance to try the Monogame version that takes advantage of all the GB of RAM and all the hardware ... here are the results .. really satisfying, no more errors due to gray shapes and not textures loaded .. especially in the larger nodes ... in this screen you can see how the program, once the 4gb barrier has been broken down, becomes more performance .. above all, with more than 1 static consist put in the station .. result satisfying ..!
At this point, I wonder if it is possible to implement this new feature in future Monogame versions...!

Hi Folks,

Question: Is this an experimental 64 bit build ?

Thanks...

Baldo - that's some route you've got there...

Regards,
Scott

Yes, it is an experimental version and it seems, for this reason it would be more convenient for the developers to incorporate it in future versions, because at the performance level it is an advantage, especially in 2019 !!! break down this 4gb barrier to make Open Rails even better !!

As for the route, exactly, it's a route of my creation, reproducing some railway lines in Sicily And I plan to publish it in a couple of months

Hi everyone, I note with pleasure that in the recent Monogame versions, the change has been incorporated that allows the use of all the hardware in 64-bit systems, and therefore the demolition of the barrier of 4 GB of memory ..

I am very happy that the team has been busy in this respect, congratulations! I wish the best for the future ..!

I'm not able to reproduce this and, after having checked the code, I suppose it is an OR MG problem. Do you have in your route tiles with a bigger dimension than 2048x2048?

Hello Carlo, What do you mean for Tiles With a Bigger Dimension Than 2048x2048?? if you mean terrain textures, No, there are 1024x1024 maximum size.. howewher, the version that i use, is the version posted by " Avatrain " User in a Forum, that allows the maximum hardware ( so it brings all the 16 gb memory ). Before, i have used the previous version posted in this topic, and it is full Ok!! no crashes!! Another problem that can affluy the crashes is that my SSD is full... there are circa 5gb free space remaining... so i think that maybe the problem is that..!
