Hello!
I would like to ask if it is possible to insert a red "sphere of light" at the end of the trains, or if it can be developed in the future.
Thanks

If you look at the original default equipment you'll see a red tail light that appears out of nowhere. Kind of a FRED without the associated equipment.
The equipment's .wag file's lighting section will show you what you need to do.
Is this what you're looking for?

I think he might be referring to a red light cone, that actually illuminates objects. I don't know if colored light cones can be done

A light cone can be any color or shade of color, but currently only applies to locomotives and can only point on one direction, that of travel. It might be possible at some point in OR to add a second cone that points back out from the rear of a train, just needs someone to want to code it.

This makes me have further thoughts about lights.
I have tried in OR to add an oil lamp to a vehicle as a freight anim. The oil lamp should have a flickering flame inside.
Well the results are that at present if no lights are specified in the wag file then the lamp appears.
If lights are specified then only the lights appear and the lamp does not.
This does not happen if the lamp is part of the main shape rather than added as a freight anim.

The left hand mail van has the side lamp added as a freight anim, but only the flickering light shows.
The right hand van has the lamp as part of the main shape - in this case a flickering flame appears inside the lamp.
I do not know how many countries around the world did this, but in UK headlamps and tail lamps were until very recently detachable oil lamps.
Hence it would be good to sort out lights and freight anims for lamps working together at some point. Hence this thought on the roadmap Trello

Makes moving around in dark yards looking for your train a real treat.Only one cone of light can be on at one time but I'd love to see multiple cones. Other lighting comes to mind also, street, platform and so on.Merry Christmas!

Hello!
to make things clear... I was talking about this section of code found in the .eng files used to reproduce the front light beam of a rolling stock, for example this one:
Light (
comment( Sphere of light dim )
Type ( 1 )
Conditions (
Headlight ( 2 )
Unit ( 2 )
)
Cycle ( 0 )
FadeIn ( 0.5 )
FadeOut ( 0.5 )
States ( 1
State (
Duration ( 0.0 )
LightColour ( ffaaaaff )
Position ( 0.0 3.5 18.5)
Transition ( 0 )
Radius ( 450.0 )
Angle ( 20.0 )
)
)
)
So I thought it was interesting to know if there was the possibility of introducing it also for the red rear lights.
