Sorry to bump this thread but this is the exact problem I'm having right now trying to install v0.699 on a Windows 7 machine that is off line. I can open TSRE, select the Train Simulator folder, get a list of all my routes but when I attempt to open any, I get a variation of the red, black, and white screen.
In QC-6811's reply he found that he needed to "delete all ex-directories".... so what is that in English!

Hi Paul,
TSRE needs internet access to set itself up.
The following message is from goku.

You can also download and install it on one machine and move it to another.
