Argh - every time I see the lighting and available materials in other sims I'm tempted to drop OR and change platforms. But other sims have really convoluted export processes for new content that almost require a Ph.D. in computer science to understand. Plus their physics engines usually leave a bit to be desired!

Like if we could just get specular maps, light maps, and reflection maps...

Anyway, great shots. :)

I feel exactly the same way Erick! Open Rails really needs some eye candy to keep up with the game of other programs! I know its slowly getting there but it still needs a lot of work!

Not to mention some additional functionality...

I made a (rather crude) layout of the Nevada State Railroad Museum...

Jay, tell us about the "Inyo" in your screenshots. Who's model is that? Is this OR?? It's a beauty, whatever it is.

Claus! Great screen shots as usual. Love those ten-coupled tanks.

It is in Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022, the Inyo model is by Daniel Gollery, known as "Trainboi1" in the Trainz community. He made models of it, the Reno, and the Genoa in various eras.

Five models of the Inyo, from five different eras! From right to left, we have the Inyo as it appeared in 1877, 1889, 1893, 1903, and 1910:
