Looking at the Tsection entries I see Marc was careful to identify which SectionIDX was the main route but made no effort to sequence the SectionIDX entries to any convention. At a glance it appears that the only way you know which SectionIDX is the tangent is by examining the values contained therein.

So what happens when the diverging path is the default? Marc uses the string DIV to label those (and I do use them).

Do other custom track libraries show similar traits?

The patch checks the angle of the non-main route SectionIdx tracksections. If the angle is positive, the diverging direction is right, if it is negative it is left.
