It took me a couple of days to get back to this but it seems the crew car was the issue. Also Herb, if you add the "CouplingHasRigidConnection ( 1 )" line for the "Bar" coupler in the engine and tender .eng/.wag file it will stop the tenders from running in and out.

Cheers

Ok so I have been working with this a little more lately and I still get the same error, although not as frequently. I have gone as far as setting air and applying hand brakes before cutting away from the helper engine with no effect. I still get the "Warning - To return to static train speed must be = 0" error. Due to the physics calculations by the sim it is obvious that there is always some small visually undetectable movement in a train. My question is, would it be possible to change the code to allow jumping from one train to another at some speed slightly above 0 to allow this option to work better?

Regards,

OK, try unzipping and replacing this file in x.3940

I tried the file you attached Carlos but I still get the same result. I've attached the OR log file in case it will help. The engines I am using are Bill Pratts K-36's and K-37's located here in the file library. I included the links to them below.

So try with this new patch for x.3941. I've increased the thresholds to the max value present in the code for speed checks = 0. If this doesn't work, there is a non negligeable physics problem with those trainsets (or in general with OR) that should be solved otherwise and not increasing this threshold.

By the way in your logfile OR reports many not found end of files in .w files. This has nothing to do with our problem, however it seems that your route installation is not fully OK.

10/9/17: attachment deleted because patch committed in x.3949

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I tried the new .dll file and I am still getting the speed=0 error. I am going to attempt to narrow this down to either an issue with steam locomotives or just these particular locomotives and will report back. Just out of curiosity, what is the max value for 0 speed in OR?

Jared, double-check your train using the F5 commands and make sure that all of your cars (wagons) have working brakes. Some models get built with pass through air lines but no equipment and they will bounce and mess up zero.

In the last patch I attached in this thread the 0 threshold is +-0.1 meters per second.

I decided to upload above patch anyhow, in x.3949, as I think it is useful independently from jared's problems.
