Now I'm very confused.

I looked at all of my full dome car wag files, and could not find one where the BrakeEquipmentType was incorrect.

I downloaded a fresh copy of the set, and verified that the BrakeEquipmentType line was as it should be:

BrakeEquipmentType ( "Handbrake, Triple_valve, Auxilary_reservoir, Emergency_brake_reservoir" )

I then ran the Empire Builder consist in OR and:

So I would say the problem is NOT solved.....

Some simple things to try:

1. Try removing slash character from name:
Name ( "BLW/ZT Amtk Dome Ocean View" )

2. Try removing the garbage from line
Mass ( 62t #136,687 lbm av )

3. Try removing the Lights() section, since that is a major difference between your working and non-working examples.

4. Use a diff tool in the future for identifying such lines.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm certain that #1 is not the issue, as there are hundreds of my locos and cars that have the slash in the name.

I will look into the other suggestions.

looked at my files, the BLW_AMTRAK_Great_DOM_III doesn't have a number there, and I never modified this file.

Couldn't be something simple like a misnamed texure file?
I was having an issue with missing cars in a consist (using Open Rails) and it turned out I hadn't correctly updated one of the wagons in the default acela set and a file was missing.

Not likely to be a Texture as there are usually multiple textures and the ones named correctly would be displayed. But the shape itself could have a name error and that would result in the observed error.

A tricky one!!!

The problem was an extra pair of double quotes in the name. Once I removed them, the car loaded fine....

SEE post # 6 and the ENG file quoted there that caused the original problem. The Name line does not have double quotes!!! Name ( "BLW/ZT Amtk Dome Ocean View" )

Charles,

I don't know where Jeremy got that wag file. He also had that strange '75' as the BrakeEquipmentType.

I downloaded an fresh copy of the BLW/ZT Amtrak NW set and tested it in OR. The dome car did not load. I spotted the extra pair of double-quotes in the wag file and removed them. After that, the car loaded fine.

So, using the as-delivered set, and changing the wag file to remove the extra quotes, the problem appears to be solved.

Thanks

Rick
