Ok so, I SWORE I made a thread about this earlier... I can't find it. So I guess I didn't...? Anyway. The BLW/ZT Super Dome Car from the Amtrak NW Pack does not work in OR. I can't make heads or tails of why, either. It's 'space' in the consist is there, the interior file(SAME shape file as the EXTERIOR mind you) is viewable; but the exterior shape isn't. The only reference to it in the log is the following line:

Warning: System.IO.FileLoadException: c:\users\channing\documents\train sim\train simulator\trains\trainset\blw_zt_amtrak_budd\

But that's it. I've uncompressed the shape file and gone through it, nothing seems to be wrong with it. I also went through the .WAG several times and can find no missing brackets or anything(Don't suggest RR...It hates me).

I knew it! I knew you were Komachi from TrainSim! http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif As for your OR issue, if you still have it, have you tried running the car in MSTS? That could help you determine whether it's an issue with the car or with OR itself.

Hah, yeah I am. :pleasantry: That's me! And as for MSTS, I can't. MSTS will not work on my system, and -yes- I installed it per the Tutorial. However after MSTS attempts to load up to the main menu, it crashes with no error message. So MSTS testing isn't an option sadly... However you'd think if the 'car' is 'seen' to 'exist' in OR, and has a available passenger view that is the same .S file as the wagonshape, it'd... Be there..

Just tested all the Full domes I have from BLW, and this is the consist for it, and also the results. Cars marked with a O are good, ones marked with Ø are failing to load.

Wagon (
WagonData ( Full_Dome_V3 BLW_Amtrak_Great_Dom_III )Ø
UiD ( 2 )
)
Wagon (
WagonData ( Full_Dome_V4b BLW_Amtrak_Great_Dom_IVb )Ø

Wagon (

UiD ( 4 )

Wagon (

UiD ( 9 )

Wagon (
WagonData ( NS_24 BLW_ZT_NS_Passenger )O

As far as BLW stuff is concerned, this is the ONLY mention in the log of BLW: Warning: System.IO.FileLoadException: c:\users\channing\documents\train sim\train simulator\trains\trainset\blw_amtrak_great_dom_iii\

Here are screenshots showing the domes in the exterior views missing, yet taking 'space' in the consist(Which is TOO much space as you'll see from #5 view), and how the shape files are magically there when I switch to the passenger view.

Open the WAG files with an editor like ConTEXT that can match Parens. Select the opening paren, the one on the line Wagon ( Filename, and then look for a highlighted closing paren. If it is not at the end of the file then that is creating your problem. Delet it and save the file and try the wag in OR again.

I can't seem to find anything missing like that, nor can I figure out how to get it to highlight brackets and such.. How does one do so? Also this is the .wag

That WAG file has Parens correct. Could you post the wag file of the Wagon immediately preceding it in the consist?

BrakeEquipmentType may be the problem:

Wagon ( SPDome-A
BrakeEquipmentType ( "Handbrake, Triple_valve, Auxilary_reservoir, Emergency_brake_reservoir" )

Wagon ( Full_Dome
BrakeEquipmentType ( 45 )

The entry for BrakeEquipmentType is NOT a number. Look it up in the Eng_and_wag_file_reference_guide.doc in the MSTS Tech Docs on the CDs.

Change the Full Dome to match the SPDome-A BrakeEquipmentType line and test the consist.
