@ Chris, thanks, I actually knew of the Lakes Carriers from previous research, but hadn't seen the video.

@ Dave, I can alter the LOS distance to much further out 1,000m is about 3/4 of a mile. Although the first carrier I showed is a bit generic, it's suitable for being out further edge of the fleet, away from the railroad POV, as a filler. At present, only the Liberty is in the scene, so it looks a little like a set of clones out there, which was true, anyway. I could do them in three's, perhaps, it depends on how the sim copes. I can always release a single of each ship. They're not wharfside quality anyway.

I also had a go at a Jeep carrier, which is still under action.....

Cheers Bazza

Here is a preliminary render of USS Bogue, escort carrier. Not sure I've tweaked the hull as I'd like, but then, I'm fussy like that. The polys sit around 1,700, at the moment. I don't think adding another thousand will be a problem as you'd only need a couple of these spread about for 'interest'. The side outrigger platforms will be tilted as per the originals once I've textured the model. I'd like to do a camouflaged version, too.

Cheers Bazza.

Hi'ya Chris, the 'pattern' you see is accidental, due to the lighting in the render. I haven't processed the source (as rendered) into the shape format and viewed it in ShapeView. Thanks for the offered help with camo'.

Cheeers Bazza.
