Hi
On OpenRails dev version
I am using Windows 8 with a Nvidia Card
And every now and again 3 seconds or so my game will go from 60fps to about 30/15 fps
for some reason and the train speedometer will jump around and wheelslip occurs
But if i look out the side of the train left and right not forward or backwards
it doesn't happen and fixes it sometimes
Thanks
Framerate Stuttering

It happens around big yards such as Sydney/Port Botany NSW

G'day Snowy, mate, perhaps you could give the Rev #, as this will help pin down the prob to a particular rev, or within cooee, of it. :)
Cheers Bazza.

This is a symptom of Vertical Sync without the adaptive option. Without adaptive, if fps drops just below 60 it will then crash to 30fps. Similarly, if the fps then falls slightly below 30, it will fall to 20fps and so on. Using the Adaptive Vertical Sync option markedly reduces this effect and allows any fps rate below 60.

GPU: Nvidia GT 740M/Intel HD 4600 might be the root of the problem. The system might not be using the GT760M for running OR.

I switched it to the Nvidia GPU and am running game booster
It only happens around large rail yards once im clear it runs very smooth
When the lag happens every 3 seconds or so in yard areas the speedometer goes funny and i get wheelslip indicators as well
