Does anybody know if Siemens Eurorunner ER20 diesel locomotives have blended braking in real life?

As it has the similar driving desk and control as the ES64U taurus so probably works the same: the dynamic brake lever is locked to move with the trainbrake lever, and can be unlocked by holding a button. This isn't blending, just a mechanical lock.

No any compensating brake is implemented.

Disc, are there any plans atm to implement this feature?

I found a 50% workdaround that when the blended dynamic brake is near the 'DynamicBrakesMinUsableSpeed( 15 )' setting, the 'backspace' key, once pressed and release, the brake handle can then control the airbrake between brake steps, ie step 1, 2, 3. But once the brake handle goes back in to the release position, you have no more control of the airbrake unless you press and release the 'backspace' key again.

Okay it's not an ideal setup like this, but it shows that compensating airbrakes, once the dynamic brake has reached it's minimal usable speed can be achieved!

Thanks

There are plans, but not work to implement it. Airbrake's current max force can be asked from airbrake system, which can be used for dynamic brake force settings. But needs new .eng parameters, for settings.

Hi,

is it possibile to create a blended train brake controller like this?

Position / Train Brake Application / Dynamic Brake Application/ Brake Pipe (Bar) / Description-MSTS Name
1 / 0% / 0% / 5,0 / Running/Release
2 / 10% / 50% / 5,0 / Only 50% Dynamic Brake
3 / 20% / 60% / 4,5 / Application
4 / 40% / 70% / 4,2 / Application
5 / 60% / 80% / 4,0 / Application
6 / 80% / 90% / 3,5 / 100% Application
7 / 90% / 100% / 2,9 / Continuos Service
8 / 100% /0% / 0,0 / Emergency

Position 1, 2 and 8 are fix. From 3 to 7 the brake controller can assume intermediate values.

If yes, how I can implement it?

Hello,

I have a train, that must be under 15km/h brake with air, above only dynamic

I have this stay in ENG file:

comment(-------- Frein électrique --------)

DynamicBrakesMinUsableSpeed ( 15 )
DynamicBrakesMaximumEffectiveSpeed ( 70 )
DynamicBrakesMaximumForce ( 349kN )
DynamicBrakesResistorCurrentLimit ( 1500 )
DynamicBrakesCutInSpeed ( 3 )
DynamicBrakesMaxAirBrakePressure ( 3.131psi )
DynamicBrakesFadingSpeed ( 20 )
DynamicBrakesDelayTimeBeforeEngaging ( 0 )
DynamicBrakesMaximumSpeedForFadeOut ( 1200 )
DynamicBrakesEffectAtMaximumFadeOut ( 0 )
DynamicBrakesHigherSpeedCurveExponent ( 13.5 )
DynamicBrakesLowerSpeedCurveExponent ( 0.9 )
DynamicBrakesNumberOfControllerNotches ( 10 )
DynamicBrakesHasAutoBailOff ( 1 )
ORTSDynamicBlendingForceMatch ( 1 )

Bud in the simulation, the airbrakes go always on. I remember if you had AutoBailOff in MSTS that the air brakes directly released...
In this case not. :-(
