I almost forgot this project, I started on it *some time* ago, here is a render of the updated slopeback tender. It needs a little more weathering, I think.

A bit of weathering makes all the difference!

Arrrgh! Hate that over simplified rear coupler, I'm going to borrow #5's. It will add a few extra polys, but it's my best coupler so far.

The M&U #5 reminds me of some small UK engines that were specially built with low cab roofs to allow them to run under low overbridges. The boiler fittings were also made lower.

Here is the latest texture tweak, can you pick it?

Not showing on this render is work I'm doing on the wheelset.

...and back to M&U #5. There's an orphan pipe near the WHP, I need to consult a diagram to figure where to attach it...;) "??!"

Here is a render of M&U #5's tender, after new wheels and coupler added, plus various texture tweaks. The tender carries no logo, so would be suitable for any other standard gauge switching loco, that uses basically the same slopeback tender, too.

Another rendered view of the tender...note, I played with the gamma settings post-render, so it's not as dark as it looks.
