I am running an activity on Monon 16. It runs OK with X2353, but crashes on X2543:
The first save, after initializing brakes, saves OK.
The second save, after switching to manual and picking up some cars crashes during the save.
A save file is created but it cannot be resumed - OR reports:
"Save file is incompatible with this version of Open Rails. ...
Saved version: X2543
Current Version: X2543"

OpenRailsLog.txt is attached. (EDIT- earlier post had the wrong file)
I will post a bug report.

Sid.

Hello,

Could you test with the new version ? It seems OK now.

Regards

Stef

Herb;
Yes, I did. Looks like there are several related crashes. My report title was in error - it should have read X2543.

Sid.

Wellllll, maybe. I ran two locos out of Alamosa to "the Farm" to pick up my train, dropped the caboose, saved the game and it came back fine. Pulled down past the end of the siding and backed up onto the train, shoved it back to the caboose on the mainline and hooked up the air and saved the game again and reloaded. Oops. 0503 doesn't look quite right:

Log file attached: Attached File  OpenRailsLog.txt (19.44K)
Number of downloads: 186

Shows "Warning: System.IO.FileLoadException: c:\program files\microsoft games\train sim-cumbres\trains\trainset\drgw_caboose_0503\\cab0503texture.ace ---> System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown."

Win 7 Pro, 32 bit, 4 GB Memory (3.2 useable) GeForce GTX 275 graphics.

FWIW reloading that last save loaded all the .ace files and 0503 is back to her former pretty self. B)

This is another problem, as the warning indication says. Probably you're at the limit of memory usage. Take into account that with 32 bit Windows, if you don't set it to manage large address aware programs, you only have about 1,7 GB available for OR. You can check the memory usage with the debug F5 HUD.

It's explained quite well here
http://knowledge.aut...ndows-XP-s.html

Take into account that enabling this 3GB switch can slow down normal computer operation. So if this happens to you it's advisable that you let the switch enabled only when you run OR.

If further support is needed pls. ask.
