I notice when choosing activities to run on the main ORTS screen, they are ordered alphabetically.
In MSTS the ordering is based on activity difficulty; Easy, Medium then Hard; (and then alphabetically within those groups).
For example in the Marias Pass activities ORTS has "Auto Train with Set-Out" as the first activity, (after Explore Route) even though it's "Hard", MSTS has it second to last.
Is this deliberate in ORTS to do something different, or is it a bug?
It's not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it.
Cheers
Alan

I always thought that the MSTS way of ordering a list of activities was a bit wacky. Alphabetic is a normal way to do things, not alphabetic in sub groups. The difficulty of an activity does not really matter anyway. The only thing of any meaning is duration, can I complete it in the time I have available?. If not pick another one.

I never understood what MSTS meant by difficulty... lots of weird signal heads?

Maybe it was meant as some sort of guide to beginners. How much set-outs and pick-ups will have to be performed, etc.
But to be honest, what does it matter? You better start out driving a train over the road, but once you can do that (which should be after completing the first such activity), what should prevent you from doing switching?
IOW, Dave, :sign_thanks:

I agree that alphabetical is better!

We could perhaps group them by difficulty, with visible headings in the list, but I am unsure it would actually be that beneficial.
