Yes, I really think I found something a bit evil :offtopic: ; referring to Math.Sign() I tried to remove it, but the fact is that the result must be an integer, else C# complains. So I think it's faster to derive a sign than to make a conversion, and therefore I would leave the Math.Sign().

I wouldn't think pulling in Math library can be faster than anything else, especially not than a simple explicit (int) conversion.

Thanks for the patch, it no longer crashes.
Can you make the change in the "RunActivityLAA.exe"?
So which one can use the extended memory area.

Cheers Maximus

Hello Maximus,
I'm happy my patched Runactivity has removed your crash.
Attached you have the LAA version of the patched X.2177 Runactivity. Pls. tell me if it runs OK.
Attached File  RunActivityLAA.zip (512.91K)
Number of downloads: 270

To Peter: well, let's have the original author of that code section decide about Math.Sign :offtopic:

An (int) conversion is probably faster but unless you've disassembled the JITed code and compared the assembly there's few certainties in this world. :offtopic: I'll try and have a look at this patch and the Math.Sign options very soon.

I would never do such an unholy thing. :offtopic:

Version2177 with patch "RunActivityLAA" and select "LARGEADDRESSAWARE Exe ..." turned on.
Do not crash.

Cheers Maximus

The two files work perfect, no crash detected.

I've attached an (int) typecast version of the patch to the bug, in both RunActivity and RunActivityLAA forms. Please let me know if they work as well.

James,
sorry but I don't see any attachment to your post. I have seen on SVN that you don't get crashes on your computer.
You can e.g. download:
- this high speed trainset: http://www.trainsimh...oad.php?did=985 :one of its passenger views crashes to me
- or download this narrow gauge trainset: http://rhbformsts.sp...nl/EWIV.php?m=2 where the passenger view of trainset RhB_BD2475.wag crashes to me.
