Thanks to Eric Olesen's ScaleRail Replacement Tables, I was able to do a quick and easy conversion of Willamette Pass to ScaleRail. Big thanks to Marc for giving me his Dynatrax profiles for ScaleRail.

Need to take care of a few things though with the route. I'll try and see about releasing this upgrade once I squish a few bugs.



Oh, the locomotives? They're part of my freeware soon-to-be-released Cascades Crossing locomotive upgrade package. There's still one unit left to build, SP 8579, a SD40M-2 rebuild,. which I've started building the FA for. A font update for 9804 is in the works. I've already got all the permissions lined up.

Yes R H Steele, I need your help once again, so that these have better physics. You've already made a physics upgrade, let's merge that with my locomotive upgrade.

Took a trip to my "summer" house outside of Graeagle, CA. Heard rumor of a ZNPOA making it's way West towards Portola due to re-routing, it usually traverses Donner Pass. I was lucky enough to catch it zipping by A23 outside of Portola, so I setup a few strategic spots to catch it between A23 and Portola for the crew change.

1) Having just crossed A23, UP5138 West crosses one of the many bridges over the Feather River. Meanwhile a C130 passes overhead.
2) Down in the canyon between Chilcoot and Portola, I catch the train gliding through the curves on a less favorable signal.
3 & 4) The first of two grade crossings in Portola, CA., is a dirt crossing used for a nearby home.
5 & 6) The crew is still in the cab but the doors are open...I guess the AC was broken on this warm summer day and they were using Mother Nature as an AC unit...The DS just told them to tie down the train as the new crew isn't there yet and he has no other WB's behind him so they're good staying at the depot.

When the 'spatcher tells you to tie it down at WBCS Rheem and wait on a van, you do it...I'll gladly tie down 3,500' of train and wait 3 hours for a van that doesn't show, then with 15 minutes left on my HOS do the 10 minute shuffle into Richmond! Want me to yard what in 5 minutes?! HA-HA-HA, yeah get the relief crew to do it, I'm going home!!
