The MP15s look pretty good as well.

Thanks. Adapting for a switcher was a bit of a challenge....
As of recently, I've been a bit tied down. I've got a new and far more powerful computer, but I haven't gotten anything done much in regards to MSTS. Neither MSTS or OR is installed, and about the only content development tool I have for MSTS/OR I have installed is Shape Viewer. And I can't remember some passwords to download Photoshop. (Yes, I use Photoshop, because I was trained on it. GIMP just feels funny to use, although some of it's functions are useful.)
Here's some shots of both DMMC 1000 and 1001 in their well-loved glory. Somewhat grimey, but very much alive and well.
I don't think I can do a spotless locomotive ever again. Weathering just adds so much flavor to a model, even with a light coat.
Edit - And here's some of the past incarnations of DMMC. I liked it, but it doesn't feel "right" now. I don't really have any sort of personal connection to the Rock Island or CB&Q
This current version of DMMC came about because I just got frustrated with Pacific Coast Lines, the first fictional I created an entire roster for, in almost every way possible.

Gildgrass Provincial Railway #1 with a short local stopping train consisting of the only coaches on the railroad and a few freight cars.

Very fine work there Jonatan, it's strangely adorable with the tiny size it posses.
Over in the great state of Iowa. here's some progress on DMMC 2000 (and 2001). I'm having some difficulties with getting the look right. Any suggestions from you diesel guys?
I kinda wish I hadn't done the widecabs first.

It looks good so far, but I'd suggest you match the green on the cab with the green on the long hood. If it looks too high up for you, then I'd suggest lowering the green so it covers the entire grill area.

I'll echo Dustin's comment. I think it looks fine as is, but if you are looking for a change, I'd bring the green on the hood down to the bottom of the panel the radiator grills are on.
And now a few pics of my own. A uniquely lettered CPAC SD70AH leads an eastbound loaded Salad Shooter across the Utah desert with an SD40M-2 (SD45) and F45 shoving as helpers.

There are a few changes coming to the California Pacific, including a minor scheme change, in the coming weeks. The first change is the lettering on the side of the long hood of wide nose engines. The first locomotive painted as such is ex-Feather River & Salt Lake C44AC #651.

Dustin, Brody,
I should probably explain the situation a bit better. With regards to my comment about doing the widecabs first, I think this picture will explain a few things.
The weridness of the long hood and cab not matching up is in an attempt to maintain a C&NW esq. look and trying to not overload the hood with green, leaving very little yellow. (Also, ignore the 3000 number on the Dash 9, it's going to be recanoned to 4000.)
http://donsdepot.don...404/cnw4605.jpg - Note the green mismatches. (This happens to show what series of locomotives DMMC 2000 was born into.)
But, I've noticed the standard cab so far doesn't have any sort of "design" in the green area, like the Switcher and wide-cabs do. So, that's probably going to be my solution to ease the transistion from the hood to the cab.

I see what you're saying. Have you considered a D&H or UP style lightning stripe?
