Very nice job on the mountain, Bob! :good:
Fictional Railroads Getting creative

Thanks, Jonatan! But the credit goes to Derek Miller for his fabulous creation. I just messed around with a couple of texture files. I am starting to consider the Full Bucket Line to be a cooperative partner with D&RGW and WP, providing a way to southern California via what is now called the "Red Line," a route from Grand Junction, CO through Mt. Oliver and Frampton, NV to Los Angeles, CA. A bonus is the central corridor extension from Lake Hurst, NV to Kansas City, KS via Pueblo, CO. On an extended weekend through the Independence Day activities, I took some time to go back to the FBL, and to work on some other projects as well.

Bob's back in business! Fantastic work on that Mountain! In hindsight, would a WP Mountain resemble the type of Mountain you want for the FBL?

Hello Dustin!
While it was one of the designs I had considered initially, and due to the limited amount of time I could devote to Project 1400, I decided it was a reasonable stand in. It is a high quality model, the originals were built for Florida East Coast, and when FEC hit rough financial times, a number were sold to various railroads, including WP. With my new thoughts of a D&RGW-WP-FBL partnership, it would be in line with shared engineering to obtain some of these machines. Since the Red Line is more or less angled for an easy access into southern California and Los Angeles, a partnership would be beneficial for those involved.

Hello All!
Another fictional venture of mine, that I haven't discussed before, is regional Montana Pacific Rail Corporation, operating the former Milwaukee Road Pacific Extension. With new port facilities being constructed at Tidewater Yard, the line hopes to gain a good share of traffic to the coast. Right now motive power is being sought, and you can see a wide variety of power on MTPR (they will use just about anything that runs!) Here we see a westbound holding the main at Lennup, with a set of MLW C424M's purchased from CPRail. All have been rebuilt, but two members of this lashup are still in their CP paint.
Enjoy!

July 21st is the anniversary of my biggest fictional railroad project; the Columbus, Pittsburgh, & Allegheny. The last time I celebrated CP&A Day, I decided to move toward the future with a name change. This year brings about another radical change as old as the CP&A name itself, although another change very well deserved. For the longest time, the CP&A's logo has looked like this.
Effective, sure, but those "wings" are dodo wings. They're little flappy stumps which can't even get the CP&A off the ground. The Raven, their crack passenger train, is by no means a flightless bird. However, a few days of tinkering around yielded a new logo which gives the CP&A a newfound sense of pride.
Fly high, CP&A. Happy fourth birthday.
On a side note, I also celebrated CP&A Day by getting as close as I could to seeing one of the CP&A's 1937-built 4-8-4s in action. Not a MSTS/OR screenshot, but it's relevant.

Since we are good friends, you weren't the only one celebrating CP&A day...

And on that topic, shoutout to Matt for the CP&A steel boxcar in my previous screenshot. I just added the logo.
