I am getting the message "Update check failed" when starting OR (top-right corner message). I got this after auomatically updating to X2120. I still get it after installing X2121 from the daily updates.

Should be fixed in X2124.

James, the message is no longer present with X2124 installed. Thank you.

I will check that it shows the correct message when X2125 is available.

I tried the feature, but I got a fail with following popup
Attachment Autoupdater.jpg
I restored the situation, changed the security settings allowing full control of the directory to all users, but got the same error. Maybe the error comes out when localized strings are used?

I have attempted to fix this in X2126 by shuffling around the precise time which the update files are moved. I think it works, but please let me know if it does or not.

P.S. With update X2125 and X2126, the updater is ready - I believe - for the weekly experimental releases. I have prepared and tested the build for that and it looks good, so unless anything is identified before 6PM GMT Friday, it'll go live then.

James, if X2126 is available, and I believe you are saying it is, I would expect is to show as available in my X2124 opening screen, but it does not.

Not any more - the checks are performed once every 24h by default now. :unknw: You can remove the [State] section of Updater.ini if you want to force a check.
