I apologise if I have not been paying attention, but, firstly, whats happenned to distant mountains they do not work in V2007. 2nd they are being displayed in V1804 and V1972 but there is "distance greying" applied in V1972 can this be controled.

The "distant greying" is the fog-turned-visibility and is simulating a typical visibility range of 20km. You can change this dynamically using the Shift+= and Shift+- keys up to a maximum of 100km. There's no further customisation at this time.
Distant mountains appear to be working fine for me in X2013, so I'm not sure why they'd be missing for you in X2007. Got a picture?

I am new to Elvas tower, probably the wrong place to post this. I have been a huge train fan my whole life it's what built our great country and helped unite all of us. I just started using Open Rails just a little over a week ago. The controls are a wee bit different but I should get the hang of things fairly quick. Distant mountains works for me. Maybe as future updates come up things will all get worked out. Happy Simming to all.

Much thanks for the reply James and ATW, the keys did the trick, problem now is to know how far the "distant mountains" are distant. ATW answer was correct with MSTS enviroments checked distant mountains disappear.

The MSTSEnv is a very, very pre-beta implementation. Most of it doesn't work, I simply included it as an experiment more as a preview. I wouldn't even recommend using it while running an activity. There's a lot of work to make it work going forward...
