Morn' Folks,
today when paying some attention to some routes that have been waiting for it quite long, I wondered a little about what MSTS calls "Terrain buffers".
YOu, know when first loading a freshly installed route in MSTS, it will often take ages to rebuild the terrain buffers. But if I want to run such route solely in OpR, will I need to let MSTS rebuild the terrain buffers?
And what about when I want to use MSTS AE to create activities for the route? Is it then necessary to let MSTS rebuild the terrain buffers?
Cheers, Markus

when i first installed OpR i simply just installed MSTS again, and kept the disc for the editors nearby, never actually drove the trains in MSTS, and haven't had to do any of the terrain buffer, so i don't think it's necessary, although, i also never used the route editor.

OR does not need that terrain buffers be generated, neither should MSTS AE need them.
