cab view facing forward

OpenRals version X 1615
Warning: Front-facing cab view is not facing forward C:\TrainSimulator\trains\trainset\NMBS-SNCB_MW41\CABVIEW\MW41EndV2.cvf
The train is a two car dmu, where the "end" car is not flipped. Both cars are engines.
The train is obtained as NMBS-SNCB_MW41-update_V3.0.rar from the site www.btsm.be/nieuwe_site/

I guess the DMU behaves correctly and looks right or you would have said.
The message should have been "Information" rather than "Warning" but I think it is accurate. Isn't it unusual to have a car with a single cab-view which faces to the rear?
I included the message to catch what seemed likely to be a modelling error, but if this is a perfectly reasonable way to build cars then perhaps I should drop it altogether.
What do you think?

The construction of the MW4117_end is not a flipped MW4117, the position of the doors is different.
The incorrect function of the reverser in the end unit had escaped me. Thanks Buttercup for reporting this.
When a car is not flipped the Z direction is the direction of the normal forward going train Here the MW4117_end has
the lights and the cab at a negative Z coórdinate.
The lights were designed for MSTS with binpatch, so the light cone is programmed only in the forward cab going forward, not in the end unit.
OpenRails shows the white front lights and the light cone on the forward direction, no lights on the end unit is this is the tail of the train, no ( front or tail ) lights are shown when the train is in reversed opration and is controlled from the end cab.

Have you found a case which it doesn't handle correctly?
Not yet, it was just a question to verify that they would work. I do however have a problem in that a DMU car actually modelled in reverse ends up with the cabview at the inside end of the car. I presume I will have to turn that into an rv cabview.

I think this is not correct. If the tail car is designed as a "reversed" model, the tail car is not the same model as the front car. Equally, the tail cabin is not the same as the front cabin
the cabview for the front car is designed for the front car and has
CabViewFile ( MW41V2-Front.ace )
CabViewWindow ( 0 0 640 336 )
CabViewWindowFile ( MW41V2-Front.ace )
Position ( -0.525 2.81 11.82 )
Direction ( 10 0 0 )
the cabview for the tail car is designed for the tail car and has
CabViewFile ( MW41V2-Front.ace )
CabViewWindow ( 0 0 640 336 )
CabViewWindowFile ( MW41V2-Front.ace )
Position ( -0.525 2.81 -11.82 )
Direction ( 10 180 0 )
( the programming sample is taken from the MW41 train which was mentioned in the first message of this thread )
OpenRails puts each cabin correctly in its programmed position
The only error in OpenRails is the reversal of the forward/reversed driving direction when the driver is in the tail unit

I have removed the warning message now and committed as v1693.
I couldn't find a report in the Bug Tracker about the directing being reversed when the driver is in the tail unit. Would you submit one, please?
Thanks,
