I model with Max 3.1 (late 1990's), and process the 3DS mesh to shape format using the default MSTS tool CONV3DS.exe in a CMD window. If necessary, I further process the shape file with ShapeFix.
Textures are also manually convert my BMPs and TGAs to ACE format using the default MSTS MAKEACE texture tool.

I am pleased to report that James appears to have solved the problem and the loco correctly displays in 1189/1190, so many thanks to him for that fix. Thanks to all involved in supporting me during this traumatic* experience. :sign_rockon: :thumbup3:

Version 1.0 of the Mogul and slopeback tender have been uploaded to the file library, section for Standard Gauge Steam Locomotives.
