It starts and runs, albeit not perfectly and the locos and cars don't show up on the outside view. But I think that's beacause I'm running the SD-40s and gondolas that came with the update from the Microsoft site that need files from the full sim. Now I just need to figure out how to make a consist without MSTS so I can use other locomotives that have all their pieces...

Okay, I can't figure out how to make a consist without MSTS. Will OR do this at all, or do I absolutely HAVE to have MSTS to create consists?

You might try Convoi, Route Riter, or ConBuilder.

Where would you get these? I am not familiar with the workings of MSTS or its associated programs at all...
