Jeff Bush posted in the "NEWS" section about the update (677) but the link given results in a 404 error.

More detailed information about your problem would assist the OR team to better understand your problems. If the OR software is showing an error - attaching the full OR log file is critical to helping diagnose the problem.

If your referring to the dialog in the .bat file, although entertaining it goes by so fast that it is impossible to see if it is reporting errors. I'll run the sim again later and jot down the problems I see with this beta version as compared to v646 and post my log as well. Presently it is bad enough that I consider it unusable for my system. v646 runs without problems with the same route/activity that v647 has problems with.
More to come.

Hi,
You don't have to "jot down" anything. There should be a file on your desktop called "OpenRailsLog.txt" that captures everything you see go wizzing by. Just tell us the route and attach that file. It has what the team needs to assist you.

log attached as requested. Most of the problems I see are display related. I loaded the default MSTS database and used the GN HiLine (latest version) with the Dash 9 and 8 grain hoppers from Whitefish Platform to all points east (Explore Mode)summer @10:00 clear weather.

1. Moire (sic) was very bad on the tracks.
2. Diagonal streaking from upper left to lower right in any external view that constantly moves when train is in motion.
3. When viewed from the left side of the train (from the cab) with the 4 key the left side of the train is all black (shadow???) except as the train passes in front of the camera and the camera pans to follow. then the train looks like it moves past the shadow and back into it as the train proceeds. Does not happen when viewing train from right side (from the cab).
4. Sound quits as soon as train passes the camera in view 4.
6. Throttle always show notch 8 on cab instrument panel.

Items 3 and 6 are present in v6.46(5) as well.

I have added OpenRails.exe to my NVIDIA Control Panel and set everything to match my MSTS setup which runs very well.

I have dual NVIDIA GEForce 7800GTX cards in my Dell XPS 600.
MSTS looks wonderful with no problems but OR apparently does not like older cards. I can live with a bit of #1, #3, #4, #6 but #2 is a definite no go with the latest version. Ha! just realized I apparently can not count either (NO #5 in my post!) (April Fools! need some excuse!)

Maybe OR doesn't like the Nvidia 7*** cards. :oldstry:
