Sadly it seems MSTS never caught on in Japan. I wish it had... we would have seen many interesting routes and equipment.

appears to be so - they say: too many alternative train sims there
but, there are some ET members from Japan on ET...

Fun fact: The elevated cab design which characterizes this series is sometimes referred to as "Denki Gama" - because it is considered similar in appearance to an electric rice cooker.
