This thread is for screenshots taken on a Japanese route.
It seems as if there's a renewed interest in Japanese railroads of late, I know I've become more interested in them lately
Now for the first screenshot of the thread.
Keeping in mind the recent disasters in Japan, I thought I'd do a little something special with a screenshot I had laying around.
I found a picture of a Japanese flag and superimposed it on the screenshot.
I intend to post more screenshots soon and I welcome others to do the same.

The Imperial Train also in the age of steam.... a nice file set i found stashed away on the MSTS library, I too got intrigued with Japanese routes a while ago and found there are great updates for the default lines from Japan that correct a number of errors but they break the acts that come with the routes as they make major changes. I also found it a bit sad to see Tokyo with no people about but have not had time to add any.... some of the nice Japanese stock created by community members here and over there have vanished into internet limbo sadly...

The updates to the default Japanese routes can be found at Trainsim.com, so can the japanese steamers and stock shown in this thread so far. I had to re-alias the sounds on the freight cars to make them work properly for me, they required some Asutralian 4-wheel sounds but no link was given to where they can be found.
The File Names:
Steamers and steam;
8620_pk.zip
Kiha 31 and 140 update, and Kiha 181 (181 undriveable unless .eng file is corrected and caview file added)
kiha_pk.zip
Pack readme file update:
kiha_txt.zip
Oddly enough, I haven't been able to track down the route update... I think I'm just not searching hard enough...

I realize that this thread started years ago. Hoping to breathe new life into the subject, as I recently re-entered the world of OR / MSTS and would love to see more Japanese content. Years ago, when I was actively running MSTS, I had in my possession the 'JNR Limited Express, 485 & 583 Series' package that was produced by AeroSim (in Japan):

The routes were rather minimalistic, but the included trainsets, while certainly not up to current standards, were unique. I have a soft spot for these older, retro, designs. I found some screenshots that I captured long ago. Sadly, the actual disc that I had is long gone, and I can't find similar content available anywhere. If anyone knows anything about these or similar trainsets, I would love to hear about it.
Peace,
Sam
