We were out playing today on Andre Ming's Ozark Northern. The route was run with a double headed set of the Erie Berkshires and a 34 car mixed train of Tim Muir and Rick Franzosa's box and freight cars. All was well until we approached Seligman, Missouri where we couldn't make the hill. So this is where we started to have fun as the train had to be broken up into several pieces. The helper locomotive was also ditched after the first turn of car's as it proved to unwieldy to use both with all the moves. The Ozark Northern is a very fun route to play on with short trains and many small towns along the way providing much switching capability.

So this is the area in and around Seligman on a cold winters day in January.

I've got 2 of those. And pretty little girls they are. If they just weren't so slow. :bigboss:

I have to say that "Ladys in Waiting" is about the best screen shot I've ever seen, Allen. Well done! :bigboss:

Why thank you Oh master of the screen shooter's. You get better shot's by accident than I do on purpose. For me it always happens theres a pole or a tree in the way or a car just happens to go by just as I take my prize winning shot. These today were all staged. Yes! I confess! I did the unthunkable. The big NAH! NAH! Or is that NAHDAH!

But I had fun playing that little move up the hill. And that is a lopalusa of a hill too. When you get down and look at the lay of the land it doesn't look that much. But it was the swan song for the mighty Berkshires. It was all it could do to haul 12 hoppers of sand to the top. Right down to 2 MPH at the top. But OH! Do they chuff mightily. It was neat. Just like playing with a real sounds and action HO railroad. I might do it again tomorrow.

You don't know how many of my shots end up in the bin, Allen, for those trees, and poles that get in the way (especially in shots of traction equipment!) But thank you.

Here's one more winter shot. Conductor Thompson has the coal stove glowing a cherry red and steaks frying on an iron plate, hot grub for the run over to Butte on the Shortline from Logan, on the RMD.

Where's that bottle of sauce?

Tim

That shot looks so cold I think I'll go and put on another flannel shirt. That's on top of the 2 I have on already. It's 43 degrees today but feels like 20. Brrrrr!
