ya beat me to it. I was busy looking up the post with this info and when I came back to this thread your post had been added.
Larry,
these trees will work in any route that has default pine trees from US2 default route.

I still hope to find that one tree with no snow, may have to open the RE to get to it.

First check the Silverton "Shapes" folder to see if there are Tree10.s and Tree10.sd files in there. (If not, then I'm wrong and disregard the rest of this)
Then check to see if there's a "tree10.ace" in the "Snow" subdirectory of the Silverton "Textures" folder. If it's not there, you can copy it from the EUROPE1/Textures/Snow folder.
Finally, open the tree10.sd file in Wordpad and make sure it says ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 1 ). If it's set to zero, change it to "1".
Hopefully, that'll fix the problem.

here is the scoop on that that Charlie shared with me just over a week ago in another thread here:
Quote
"Judd Spittler, Pierre Mertzeisen - Replacement textures for default trees (with snow)"
Over here...
http://www.elvastowe...dpost__p__47769
...I recommended "js_realpines.zip" from the German site.
They are the same as the "rpines.zip" that John points to, except that they have the advantage of including a few more summer textures as well as all of the needed snow textures (added by "oldiedaddy").
The history on that is when I put up the Silverton Branch, "oldiedaddy" twitted me a bit for not having used Judd Spittler's "rpines.zip". I pointed out that there were no snow textures and that I felt I was not qualified to be a "tree guy". So he generated them and released them there...

charlie

That''s Tree10 from Europe1 or USA2. The textures from Europe1 are a mess. Those from USA2 are only a semi-mess.
This is for ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 252 ) in the SD file. I can't remember when I changed it.
Seasonals OK to use from USA2: \Snow, \Spring, \SpringSnow, \WinterSnow
The rest: For Autumn substitute Spring. For AutumnSnow substitute SpringSnow. For Winter substitute Snow. (Don't look at the originals in USA2 for these :dance3: )
For future reference for route builders: When you make substitutions as above and then package with RouteRiter, RR will kill the substitutions. The way to preserve these kinds substitutions is that once you have the desired texture where you want it, open in TGATool2A and simply export it on top of it's self. The new date and timestamp will cause RR to ignore it for Installme.bat purposes.
Of course that assumes that you knew there was a problem in the first place.

charlie
