OR Route CRKB_FJG Route Part 1 of 5

Until the very late 1970s the Conrail
Amsterdam yard job began their day running
light to the Fonda yard where they would do
the little local work that ws needed and
assemble the FJ&G train from the cars in the
yard. The FJ&G freight would come in, exchange
cars and head back to Johnstown. The Conrail
yard crew would then break the FJ&G train into
east and west cuts before heading light back
to Amsterdam where they would switch customers
along the mainline and then up the hill on the
Kellog Branch.
