Conrail Kellog Branch & the Fonda Johnstown and Gloversville

Until the very late 1970s the Conrail yard crew started their day by travelling from Amsterdam to Fonda NY, switching the yard and any local traffic, the FJ&G train would come into the yard, exchange cars, and head back up to Johnstown. The Conrail switcher would divide the FJ&G cars into east and west cuts and head back to Amsterdam to service the customers along the mainline and up the Kellog Branch.

Goose Island is a man made island in the Chicago river 2 miles NNW of downtown Chicago. The Milwaukee Road's Division Street Yard is there servicing a large number of close by industries.

In addition, the commuter rail in the Loop is modeled (both the L and the Chicago Surface Lines).
