Opening APK files in a post-MSTS world. Rate Topic: -----

Almost all activties for MSTS are packaged in APK files, which are a proprietary file format for MSTS, which, as far as I know, can only be opened by the Activty Unpacker that comes with MSTS.

So, how would you go about extracting the contents of a APK file without a MSTS install?

Please take a note of the warning on that website! It is also dated 2016. I suggest you use my utility, as linked to by Jean-Marc in his post. That can not only create a .zip file from a .apk file, but can also install the .apk into the appropriate route (if it's installed anywhere on your system). Although its last update was in 2016, I am still here and will fix any bugs reported! It has had more than 3000 downloads from trainsim.com alone with no error reports, so must be OK!!
