Before install the file of ReShade 4.2.1 for Open Rails Monogame ( the latest version ) on my desktop. I am not sure which one to click with D3D 10+ or Open GL to install the latest version of ReShade 4.2.1. I know from the past installed with D3D 10+ for ReShade in Open Rails Monogame. But I see several comments about Monogame with ReShade in Open GL. I am not really familiar with this but had strong feeling that go ahead to install Reshade in D3D 10+ for the program of Open Rails. I have not installed this yet and will wait to see any comments about this.

Hi Folks,

I believe it's "D3D 10+"... I recall trying "Open GL" and it didn't work - but that was a few versions back...

Regards,
Scott

My answer is to click D9D 10+ not GL. That is why I clicked D9D 10+ not GL as I thought at first. I was going to install ReShade with GL as suggested by many comments online about Monogame with ReShade. I decided to ask here first before goes further but I remembered from before that click on that D9D 10+ not GL. All is good now but I am not quite sure about the .ini file in Open Rails Monogame main folder. I copy/paste the ini file of SCOShade in that folder and see there is another ini file inside the main folder. That's ReShade ini file. My question is that " Should I remove the ini file of ReShade out of the main folder to Recycle or save on Desktop? " If yes, then how do I setup the path to SCOShade ini file for ReShade in main folder of Open Rails Monogame.

Your help would be appreciated with this.

John

Hi John,

Your "ini" can go anywhere you want - it can go in the main ORTS folder but it's not required - I don't keep mine inside my ORTS folder - you just have to point ReShade to your "ini" wherever it resides though... [Shift][F2] brings up the configuration screen once you're in the sim (they banner the key on startup across the top of your screen) - if I recall correctly - you should see an option to select your "ini"...

Hi Russ,

I haven't installed the latest ReShade yet to test with my "ini" - but I've been using ReShade with Flight Sim long before I did with ORTS and I haven't seen an upgrade cause issues with "ini" files made in previous release...

Regards,
Scott

Hi...

Can you download from here ? I have my custom Skydome and my ReShade preset in the "Beta" section of the file library... The two play nicely together...

Here's the support topic which explains a bit more:

Scott,

Yes your SCO ini file is configured to Open Rails MonoGame. So all is good now.

Thanks to you for this.

Cheers,

John
