File Name: RGS Pierce-Arrow Motor #5, Revision A
File Submitter: Sandy River Tom
File Submitted: 28 Apr 2018
File Category: NG Diesel Locos

The Models:

Motor #5 was built in 1933 using the body of a 1927 Pierce Arrow Model 36 Limousine, which was longer and slightly lower than the Model 33 used for Motors #3 and #4. It evolved through various equipment changes and paint schemes during its operating life. Motor #5 was the only Motor to retain the curved Pierce-Arrow fenders and Frog-Eye Headlights thru 1945. These models represent RGS Motor #5 as it appeared in 1934, 1936, 1938, and 1942. Each Goose has working doors left and right (Q, Shift-Q), inside views for the Motorman and passenger, and hoods that can be opened (Shift-V) to improve engine cooling in the summer.

This models are for "Open Rails" Only; they will not load/run in legacy MSTS.

Drawings, photos and prototype information:
"Tin Feathers, Wooden Trestles, and Iron Men", Stan Rhine, Colorado RR Museum, 2012
Herb Kelsey, for numerous period photos from various publications.

Acknowledgements:
