Thanks Christian! :naughty: With Christmas and all coming up for me, I'm not sure I'll be getting into it until the new year. And I'm sure you're busy as heck as well - so no rush what so ever. :pardon:

Hi all!

I loaded up my creek pack into the Beta-Test section! After the UL is approved
by the staff you can give it a test :-)

Cheers,

Christian

I have a question. What is the engine in the middle of the screen, and what about it's purpose?

Cheers.

Hi Nathalie!

The engine is a "steam-donkey". It`s a stationary steamengine built on a sled with 2 or more winches.
It was very widespread in the US logging world. I used some on my Monson RR to pull the logs to the loading facilities.

Here the Wikipedia-entry.

Cheers,

Christian

They were a portable power unit usually as a wench but also for any other type of mussel power they needed out in the woods and is the reason why they called 'em a 'donkey engine'. Just like the one on your car's front end... difference is, they didn't know how to make 'em this small yet.

Hi Rick!

Btw: I loaded the donkey up to the database. As soon as it`s confirmed by the staff
it should be available :-)

Cheers,

Christian

Christian, is the 2ft rail track system available anywhere for downloading for route builders, please?

Cheers Bazza
