Vindicator Mine Complete Set
Independence, Colorado
1910
Fix: corrected 2 Shape files
Vindicator Mine Center
Vindicator Ore House
Vindicator Shaft No. 2
Vindicator Water Tank
Vindicator Lower Tram and Wash House
Vindicator Dump Tram
Vindicator Tram 2
The Lille Mine which was located immediately next to the Vindicator was purchased and operated by the Vindicator as a testing facility and then later dismantled. It will be available as a separate model.
Layout pictures and Sanborn Map included
TSM source files included.
Best served by at least one rail line, loading dock is part of the Central Mine complex and another RR line goes thru the main Ore house, with the side Stair case.
There was a lower Ore house under one of the trams that can be buried if your topography does not allow it as it was not used for much of the mine's existence.
The first major complex was painted off white and had an enclosed Main Shaft at the center, later on the main shafts were uncovered due to fire hazard and left that way. the Mine buildings were painted red with white trim late in its operation in the 1920s.
This was the entire complete Vindicator Mine as it existed around 1910. It contained a number of Shafts active and closed, this model shows Shaft Number 1 at the center and Shaft No. 2 to the side. It also contains the main Ore House, the Ore Wash House, the Lower Ore House, the Power House for the main Mine complex as well as the Shaft House for No. 2 and its own Power house, and various offices and shops. There are several tramways that attach as per the illustration and there were three water tanks that served the mine. The main Ore House of the Vindicator Mine delivered Ore thru 6 over head chutes to the Railroad service. it also had a Wash House attached, which is available separately. It was connected to the main Shaft House at Shaft No. 1 by a raised Tramway.
This model includes night and snow textures. It is medium poly so can be used for both MSTS and Open Rails.
Rights and Restrictions: you may freely use, rework and repaint this model, TSM source files is included. The only restriction is that this model may not be sold or used in commercial pay ware without my express permission. You can reach me at the e mail below. It may also be converted to Railworks, Trainz or any other sim format I would appreciate notice and a copy of your finished work.
Installation:
Place the shape and texture files into your route folders and add the ref entry to your ref list. I use the 257 texture setting so that this will correctly display both snow and night textures.
