After switching to a loose consists, OR does not display the speed limit of the consists correctly. It does not read the speed written in the act file.
It displays the maximum speed written in the con file.

player before switch. Speed limit is 70mph.

After switch. Speed limit still is 70mph. It should be 82mph.
This is problematic when one locomotive has a low speed and the other a high speed.

The same section of route with the GP38 is a player. Speed limit is 82mph.

My small test activity for default route USA1.

Please fix.

I think that the file formats available, which are directly taken from MSTS, do not allow to handle all cases about max speed allowed for a train. In the specific test case, if you attach a slower locomotive to a faster locomotive, IMHO the resulting consist should have as max speed the max speed of the slower (attaching) locomotive, and this is what occurs. In the opposite case, however, if you attach a faster locomotive to a slower locomotive, the resulting consist should have as max speed that of the slower (attached) locomotive, and this probably does not occur.
But what happens to max speeds if the initial player loco is detached? And if there are also wagons? And if you first attach a loose consist to a locomotive, and then a loose consist with a different max speed?

So I think that the situation is rather complicated, and therefore I haven't touched things here.

Yes, you are right.

This is the only combination I had in mind. That is, you connect a slower locomotive to a faster one and after disconnecting it, the set speed of the slower locomotive remains. If it is the other way around, the speed of the faster locomotive remains.

Unfortunately, MSTS writes zero speed to the wagons. They then take over the speed of the locomotive. MSTS writes speeds for locomotives only.
I find it very confusing when I connect a locomotive with a maximum speed of 40kmh to a locomotive with a maximum speed of 120 kmh, and it disconnects, the speed setting remains at 40 km/h and vice versa. And that's what I wanted to fix somehow, if possible.
