One of the best MSTS forums around, and it reminds me of one of the best steam RR's around, SVRy, shut down for the winter. :) I guess it must be about the same, nothing out in the open, but lots going on in the shop. :)

I'm still beavering away on the Cal-P...oh and checking out the L&PS -- boy does that route look good! Takes me right back to my youth watching the CNS&M roar past my neighborhood. Lots of things to learn from the L&PS.

That car really is sweet Tim! You amaze me. Hard to believe the changes that have come about over the few years since the sim was released!

Well I was in Idaho a week ago (well a little over a week) and I have been working my rear off and sleeping.
I was driving between Bend and K-falls on Thursday night the 3rd of November. In Bend it was pouring rain (man that town has grown in the last 5 years since I was there), but about 20 miles south I was in a blinding snow. I spent the next 4 hours driving at 30 mph or so. I had checked the weather before leaving and I had a friend check the weather while I was driving through the junk. No one said anything about snow, just 40 and rain. By the time I got about 30 miles north of Klamath there was a good 3 to 4 inches of snow on the ground and highway. The south bound lanes did not have as much traffic on them and I had a 18 wheeler tail gating me.
I lived in snow country for 5 years and I know how to safely drive in the stuff, but when you are not expecting it and you are not completely prepared it sucks.

Thanks! Cliff, I could make the 836 a streetcar named Desire, since it is of the correct era when the Desire line was operating. The 948 is one of the 35 remaining, and used today, (once the lines are repaired and re-opened, that is).

I'll muddy the waters a bit with this beach scene from the Moclips branch. I've been mucking around with the mud flats leaving Hoquiam Washington, headed for Moclips.

Here I am, up to my knees in mud, what a photographer won't do for a picture! This is my latest treeline, made this morning.
