Sumpter Valley Railway's refrigerator #6 has just been uploaded. A D&RGW version is following close on it's heels. My thanks to Steve Thompson for the great photos for the side and end textures. Also a big thanks to Herbert Kelsey for his help in supplying photos and original shop drawings for the D&RGW cars.

Within reason. :D I'm studying the tankcar for a possible next project. Got the Emlaw collection out, studyin' stuff.
Great photo, by the way.
The yellow car adds a bit of color interest to the route. Today I ran the #50, the #4, 10 cars, and the #16 on the rear end, from Whitney to Larch, at an average speed of 7 mph, down to 2 mph at places, but with 100% throttle and the Johnson bar in the corner, I did make it to the top without stalling.

Love those saggie-baggie-yello-bellie boxcars Tim. Tried a rake of 5 on a recent run up the hill from Whitney and had to drop all but two and the caboose on a loop. Guess the ol' C16 had a lot less puff for the heavier consists, but I gather that's what it was like in reality.

They carry a Mass line of 36 Tons Cap'n! You maxed out your little 60 class with that cut! Might want to copy another one and make it 10.5 tons and call it "MT."

Only way to learn Herb, is to first perfect the art of making stupid errors. :p
It was a salutory lesson about max tonnage over the ruling grade. :)
BTW, now using Matt Imbrogno's simulation of a 6ET brake controller. Talk about increasing the Casey Jones' "Oops!" factor. :)
