Thank you, Paul, for the kind words. Enough building and tweaking - and screen capping! Now I'm just going to go run 'em!

One last thought: These are great engines and a lot of fun to run but it makes it all that much better when they are pulling Tim Muir's absolutely fantastic Santa Fe reefers! Thanks Tim, for making the run complete, right down to the caboose markers!

Jeeze Herb you just keep getting better ard better. I modeled Santa Fe for 10 years and the excelent screen shots of yours are trying to pull me back there. Can't shake the narrow gauge bug though. The route, the trains, the scenarios are all outstanding. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Hello,
the speed of the releases of Allen's and Herb's locomotive works is really breathtaking. I had just finished my first run with the Mikes when the bigger sister engines came. Thanks to Allen's and Herb's work ATSF is the company in MSTS with the most engines unique for the road, and watching the steam modeling thread I see Allen is going on making engines specific for different RR companies.
As said before great engines deserve great cars. So I took my Tim Muir Special (made of his cars only) and went on a trip on Cajon Pass.
At the summit the helpers are having a little break before returning to San Bernardino
Keep on steamin'!

These are absolutely Beautiful engines! After seeing these I was wondering if it would be possible to see some up-dated skins for the ATSF 4-8-4 Northern series of engines in the library. What a great combination these would make. Thanks for listening.

Steam modeling in MSTS was starting to remind me of the early HO days of TYCO and BACHMAN. One size and shape fits all. Just put a different
paint job on them and we got a new steam engine. They don't have any personality. Now diesel models have every shape and description and
every model there ever was, almost down to every phase of change with another louvre or two or a handrail post. Don't get me wrong. I like to
model diesels but steam deserves some personality of their own. Nuf said.

Someone above said something about the 2900's in the file library. Please be patient. They're being worked on. It takes literally hundreds of
hours of work to produce a steam locomotive for MSTS. And as I am retired I have the time to do this. But I'm on the PC from 6:00 to 7:00
am every day including Sunday's to 11:00 to 11:30 at night. working on shapes and textures. So the process may seem slow to you. I'm
sorry that I can't be as fast as you would like. These projects just take a lot of time.
Nice screen shots guy's!
