Hi all,
All systems are go so, here it is.

A 3 foot narrow gauge Sand Car.
According to what information I have found out about this car, which isn't much,
it was used as an emergency sand filling facility. It was never mass produced
and most likely constructed in the field with what ever parts were available at hand.
This car looks like it could have been constructed from an old mining car or old
boxcar that was wrecked or abandoned.
I'm going to assume that this car was hauled off the mountain, when empty,
coupled up to the mainline loco then carried to a sanding facility to be refilled.
Once refilled, carried back to the foot of the mountain where it was hauled
back up to the logging camp then set aside for future use.
I've taken modeling liberties to add two sander valves and pipes.
(Why not, it could have been feasible? After all, it was an emergency
piece of equipment.)
The small sledge hammer was used to tap the pipes when the sand stuck.
I hope you enjoy pulling this car around as much as I did in building it.
You'll need Xtracks installed to run this 3' narrow gaged car on the rails properly.
