Hi,
After converting my Barber Shop and the Saloon from Trainz to MSTS, I thought I'd continue with the same motif, as if the whole town was built at about the same time, and go with a whole series of western buildings.
Such as a Sheriff's office and jail, a general store, a post office, a telegraph office, and anything else I can think of.

Here's a WIP of the Sheriff's Office and jail.

Any suggestions from the 'peanut gallery' will be welcomed. Please submit ideas and criticisms if you wish me to continue along this line.

Thanks, and have fun!

:D

Thought I'd share a little progress report.
A believe I may have an incite to the popularity of this idea with all the enthusiasm after 21 views... :D

Well, I guess this about wraps it up.

It needs a door knob. Can't think of anything else.

Rick, very nice and yes, keep them coming. The only thing I see right off is no slope to the roof. Sooner or later the sheriff and prisoners are gonna get wet when that roof starts to leak. John

Well, I thought the old mop and tar bucket would suffice.

Does anybody know when this was started? How far back does it go?
Does anyone know anything about using hot tar to seal roofs?

Thanks for the input, John... :D

Does this look any better?

I'm just a little reluctant to use anything other then a flat rooftop.

Thanks,

:D

I see the enthusiasm is overwhelming for this stuff so, it's final and has been uploaded to Elvas Tower for all those who have shared in all the excitement.

Have fun, even if you don't like it.

Now all we need is an animation that shows the Sheriff in action against the local riff-raff...

Once again, excellent modeling. Thanks for sharing!

As for me, I've enjoyed your little essay's about your Wild West endeavors. Fun models.

The closest my projects has come to the Wild West look is the 1893 project I am completing: The Ozark Northern. However, it has a decidedly "Ozark" feel to it.

Deep down inside I know I would enjoy building an 1880's Colorado narrow gauge route in MSTS, complete with all the rustic structures evidenced in my Colorado narrow gauge books. Alas, not enough equipment to equip the route if one was built... AND... I have way too many irons in the fire and too little time.
