Thats right, when you thought gas prices were to high, here comes some relief..

SP, Short of power, leased a Decapod, and assigned it to haul a heavily loaded oil train over Donner pass to bring relief to ever higher gas prices...

My dog can supply enough gas for the western half of the USA. :good:

Hey, those are nice-looking tanks! But all I see are eastern brands. Any for the western roads? Of course I understand you're biased B) Very nice Work, John.

Hey Tim,

The tanks shown were created by BLLW, and don't worry. We do have Western company tanks as well B) . if you want to see them all, check out bllw.net.

Thanks for the kind words Wayne.

**Tim - If your dog can supply enough gas to power the western half of the US, then I think you might want to look into a lot of Bean O. (Might even drive the stock up on it at that rate... ) Well, that or an old WWII era Army Surplus gas mask....

Now back to seriousness for a bit...

I caught some views of another tank train rolling over Canton. Unfortunately for the road, it seems as though the road power just couldn't handle the weight, and in turn sent one GP9 into going "lame" on them. The Solution: A 2-8-0 was fired up and tacked onto the lead, with the lame unity only being retained for additional braking power when needed.

Interestingly enough, there was an F30a deadheading in front with an oversize load bound for Incline, California.

The whole front of the consist was adorned by these Classy looking Suddenly Chemical Company Tanks, en route back to their home territory for routine servicing and maintenance.

looks like there's plenty of private ownership cars in this run. This one's out of Chicago Illinois...

Here we catch a view of a few insulated cars...

And more standard issue Type 21's

Anyone know where Sinclair was based out of?

and the final cars on the train were owned by Stauffer Chemical
