This shot has a special history. When Halycon released their "Schwarzwaldbahn" (Black Forest Route) the steam fans were looking forward to some nice mountain railroading. But they were qute disappointed when they noticed the grades were modelled too steep like in default Marias Pass. So I posted this shot as a joke in my favorite German forum asking if this wasn't the right engine for the route. After the protest of the steam fraction Halycon took fast reaction and showed good service. They updated (or should I say downdated) the grades of the route, and even released a second version of the route with the scenery and track layout set to the end of the steam era round 1972.
The second shot shows an engine that really ran there at this time, a class 38 (former Prussian P8, built in 1915)
Keep on steamin'!
Dietmar
