I have special memories of this branch, and the best of them are along a 2 mile strip, where the tracks are just above the ocean. It requires a pile of terrtex tiles, as the track is at a 7 degree angle, skewed to the riprap, beach and ocean! Slow going, but I've progressed about 1/2 way from Pacific Beach to Moclips.
I've also been plugging away at the Smith Shingle Mill, which was where Rayonier had a log dump, the Moclips R. was dammed for a mill pond. The shingle mill was steam operated with wide belts transmitting power to the machinery, all from a big Corliss steam engine in the basement of the powerhouse! This burned in 1971, a real shame. They even had shop air, provided by a Westinghouse cross-compound locomotive compressor mounted on the wall!

I hope you're making backups
That's looking just like my neighborhood - except for the train, tracks, and clean beach!
Nice work Steve!

Deep River Logging (along the lower Columbia River) 2-4-4-2 "Skookum". It still exists, and I just got the word from Jon Davis,
"Speaking of the Skookum, just yesterday I learned that it has been sold!
Chris Baldo, current owner/operator of Port of Olympia #2 is the new owner.
Yesterday a crew was at Mineral gathering up the pieces, it will apparently
be shipped this week to Willits, CA. The plan is for restoration to
operation."
The MSTS version is a Jon Davis model that he hasn't released yet, so I have no idea when it will be available.
