Well ladies and Gentlemen,
I finally got out and about for a change. I hopped into my Truck and took a three hour drive down Past Washington PA, to the village of Prudence, PA. While you won't find it on any map, it's definitely a hotbed of railroad Activity. The Canton Railroad Co. maintains a small yard and servicing facilities here, and provides the PRR with Trackage rights. I got lucky enough to capture a through run with a four unit BF16 set (PRR Lingo for Baldwin, Freight, 1600 HP) freight sharks with an oil train.

Going away shot of A-B-B-A Set:
Beginning of the solid block of type 21's:
More tanks... How long can this train be...?
Finally, as I was about to pull out my folding chair, I was surprised to find a PRR N5b Cabin car bringing up the rear markers, and with Trainphone nonetheless...
Luckily for me, the engineer was forced to make a stop for the B&O Diamond ahead, allowing me to grab photos of the consist. Bringing up the lead is a batch of six Suddenly Chemical Tank cars.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the majority of this consist is all lease tank cars. here we have a Chicago Tank Car Company lease car far from home territory in the windy city...
Here we have a Mid Continent Petroleum Car. Not sure how they loaded it and kept it this clean, but they did.
Ah, now this car's been used a little bit... looks like it's already about due for a good run through the car washers...
See my next post for more...

Following that last car, we have a Continental Tank Car Lines car.
Oddly enough, there was one insulated car mixed in as well. This was a GATX Lease car.
A Pennsylvania native car at last... According to the car data, The Hovey Refining Company maintained it's wells, refineries, and it's own tank car fleet, up in Clarendon PA. You have to admit, their livery does stand out amongst the crowd...
Looks like we also captured a shot of an Amoco tanker heading back to Baltimore..
National Oil Co car as well. I wonder if this is one of the cars Suddenly Chemical purchased last week...?
Sinclair Oil Co Type 21 makes an appearance as well.
It seems this car is a long way from home ground...
Another PA Based Company. United Refining, much like Hovey refining, was based in Northern PA.
And finally, the rear markers, carried by a PRR N5b Cabin car.
Ok, I couldn't resist this shot to give an idea of train length...
Enjoy...
NOTE: Equipment listings...
